Salary & Benefits
We implement a career planning system which is based on measurement of competencies and added values, designed for the individual employee, focused on the objectives of the Bank, shaped out according to a performance assessment based on development and motivation, rather than an open and objective measurement.
Owing to this system being based on competency and development, all employees are given the chance for determining and directing their own career themselves.
Each employee may promote himself/herself to the next upper position at any moment when he/she is ready for it depending on his/her competency development.
Training
Fortis conducts training programs that suit the career plans of all employees in order to support their personal development. The training programs seek to minimize the problems encountered by the employees when performing their duties, to increase their professional knowledge and skills and to ensure their development in competencies. Training need of the employees is determined based on the position and seniority of the individual employee, and an annual plan is drawn up by making a need analysis according to the knowledge accumulation of the employee.
Remuneration Policy
In Fortis, the salary is fixed according to the duty performed and the degree of performance attained by the employee, rather than the seniority of the employee. In this way, loss of qualified employee is prevented and the personal development is supported.
Social Benefits
Beside transportation (in Istanbul) and lunch, payment of overtime to the employees other than the executives is one of the social benefits available to the employees. In addition, Fortis runs two pension funds, the Fund for Social Security and the Pension Fund, in order to provide better retirement conditions to the employees.
Health Services
The employees of Fortis are insured by health and life insurance and have medical treatment in any hospital of their choice by paying a contribution fee of 10% of the invoice.
Recruitment Process
In line with our policy to bring up the future executives within our own organization, we conduct Management Trainee (MT) programs.
From this perspective, we have established the target mass the new graduates of the best universities of the country.
We usually accept the applications for the program through the newspaper advertisements and the so-called "Career Days" meetings we hold at the universities.
We subject the candidates who have no experience in banking to general proficiency and competency tests. Successful candidates are then subject to group and individual interviews. We recruit to the candidates whom we deemed successful at these stages.
Beside these programs, we ensure that the professionals specialized in banking join the experienced staff of the Bank when the need arises.
We do not conduct exam for selection of experienced candidates. Instead, the applicants are elected for the positions through interviews conducted jointly by the concerned departments and the Human Resources Department.
